The 2022 MNPS School Board elections are a key moment for MNPS and the Nashville community. This year, having gone through primary elections candidates had to declare party affiliation. The School Board general elections are coming up on August 4 and the NOAH Education Task Force is holding two public meetings! One involves candidates for districts 2 and 8, on Thursday, June 23rd – it will be held at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. The other, for candidates for districts 4 and 6, will be held at the Hermitage Community Center on Thursday, June 30th. Both events are 6:30 – 8 pm.
The School Board plays a critical role in shaping policy for Metro Nashville Public Schools and in supervising the Director of Schools. And the leaders in districts 2, 4, 6 and 8 represent the children and families in our neighborhoods. In short, they impact the entire Nashville community. Will you show up and show your support for NOAH’s values:
Do you live in school board district 2, 4, 6 or 8? We would like to hear your opinion on what to ask our candidates? Even if you are not in these districts, we want you to attend our public meetings and would like your involvement in our work to get out the vote on August 4. Please take 2-3 minutes to fill out this survey so we know where you stand!
Thank you.
